On a strict carnivore diet, you're likely getting plenty of:
Protein for muscle repair and strength, fat for energy and hormones, Iron, B12, and zinc from red meat and organs
But here’s where it can fall short: Vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, and other electrolytes, fibre for gut health, antioxidants for inflammation and cellular repair, and digestive enzymes and probiotics.
These are mostly found in plant-based foods—things you're cutting out on carnivore. Over time, this can lead to nutrient imbalances, constipation, fatigue, or even weakened immunity. Over a long period of time, the research shows higher rates of chronic disease and illness, lower healthspan (time without burden of disease), and hgher mortality rates.
